One of the major questions this year in overseas education is:
Why so many student visas were rejected this year from India?

=> First thing is the amount of fraud documents that were submitted this year has probably gone up.
UK immigration and border agency relaxed the rules of financial requirements for submitting to UK visa. Now a student only needs to show the funds in a bank only for 28 days compared to a much longer period earlier. Students took undue advantage of this relaxation and created forged documents.

UK visa office has its own mechanisms in place to counter-verify whether the documents are genuine. Most cases they now verify with the headoffice or the regional office and not the branch directly.

In one unfortunate case this year, a student recently contacted us for help where he claimed an agent had fraudulently provided a different document than what the student had provided. His visa was rejected the first time. The student applied again with the same documents, but this time the visa was rejected and along with it, he was banned from entry into the UK for next 10 years.

With such extreme cases coming to light, we advise students to take good precaution before applying to the visa office. Think whether the documents you provided would help your case or break it.
